anscheinend ein sehr guter Film....

ich warte mit Spannung darauf, dass er bald auch bei Amazon Deutschland erhältlich ist.
Man könnte ihn zwar über Amazon US bestellen, aber dann hat er ein spezielles Format, das ich leider nicht mit unserem DVD spieler lesen kann.

Oft ist es möglich, die DVD dennoch zu sehen und zwar auf dem Rechner. Es gibt auch Programme, mit Hilfe derer sich die Codierung entfernen lässt. Ich weise natürlich drauf hin, dass das nicht legal ist. Zumindest nicht in Deutschland

That's a great movie! Funny too. Better than Super Size Me IMO. Lowcabin at McD - that's something.

Much more honest than SuperSizeMe. And Tom is a LOT funnier than Spurlock. Who isn't really funny at all, come to think of it.

Yeah, I tend to agree. It's interesting really with two documentaries about the same phenomenon and so close in time. Something of a lesson in self-knowledge for me. Showed me how gullible I am, even if I like to think I'm not. I found Super Size Me credible when I first saw it, even if I drew other conclusions about what made Spurlock sick than he did... After watching Fat Head for 5 minutes I changed my mind.

Now I'm waiting for Michael Moore's version!

It's politics that blinds us. Actually, when SuperSize me first came out I watched it with interest and also found it credible. However, that was when I still believed in that we should all eat less meat and more veggies....even though I always liked meat but it simply wasn't politically correct to admit that AND the so-called experts had managed to penetrate my brain and place the message that meat-eating wasn't safe and caused all manner of cancers. But then: how is a person to know? I can't make my own nutrititonal studies and it's very hard to stand up against general opinion. So I was VERY glad indeed when I discovered the science and benefits of low-carbing. I certainly don't make a habit of eating at Mc D's - but not because of poltical correctness but because I don't find their hamburgers particularly good. But I DO remember a hamburger bar right in the middle of Manhattan. And their hamburgers (no chips for me, of course) were just FANTASTIC. I'd go back there anytime.

Bin gerade eher zufällig auf die Seite und den Film gestoßen. Leider gibt es ihn in Europa immer noch nicht auf DVD. Sehr schade, wie ich finde.

Der Blog auf der Internet-Seite ist aber auch durchaus empfehlenswert, denke ich, obwohl ich noch nicht viel gelesen habe. Daher wollte ich den Thread mal hochholen.
